... I haven't seen anything in 4e that is going to be overly problematic or need 'restricting' in the 4e DAB MMRPG.
I'm still digesting some of the finer points, having already had 3 sessions of 4e yumminess from a GM standpoint... But some few of the campaign staff have been mucking about and none of us has seen anything that really stands out as being problematic...
In fact, we really think that DAB fits much better in 4e than 3/3.5... but that's a matter of personal preference I suppose.
However, I will say, better be prepared with your mini's! 4e is VERY VERY VERY tactics centric (i.e. maps and mini's)...
So if anyone sees anything quesitonable, or if we do... ask about it here, we'll post things here... all in prep for DAB MMRPG 4e! |

This is the main reason why I think 4e might not be for me. I do like minis, but only as long as I don't have to use them. However, does this pave the way for more Blackmoor specific minis perhaps?

| Maybe, depends on the license stuff... I have to look long and hard on how to make that happen (because I would!). |

| i think part of the reason the 4E fits is that in a lot of ways, it's a throwback to "old-school" D&D: "this is what a fighter does, this is what a cleric does, this is what a wizard does." while i do absolutely love the depth and breadth of characters that 3.5 allows for, and will keep playing it at my home games because of that, i do find the fact that if someone signs up at a con table with a fighter or a cleric, you'll pretty much know exactly what you're getting a bit refreshing. |

Now that you've done the 4e intro modules, how do you feel about 4e?
I'm an old 3.5 rules lawyer/power gamer and what i like about 4e is that it truly reigns me in. There's really nothing much to break in 4e. No Whisper Gnome Shadowcraft illusionists casting illusion spells at 160% reality, no Hulking Hurlers, no trip monkey's. Everyone is more or less equal from the get go. This is good! It lets people focus more on the PLAY of DnD than on how to make a powerful character.
Loved the 4e intro and an't wait for more at MegaCon. |
