4e is released, I'm sure a lot of you who have been wondering what's going to happen, who have been speculating on what's going to happen, if there's going to be a 4e MMRPG...
Well, you'll just have to wait a little long...
Was that long enough? 
There will be a 4e MMRPG version of DAB!
It will NOT replace the 3.5e!
They will run side by side, separately for a time until the 3.5e campaign ends at MegaCon 2010 (oh and you SO DO NOT want to miss that BI!).
What will the 4e DAB MMRPG look like?
Now that, that you will have to wait for a little while longer!

i hadn't seen that there was now a 4E forum before i posted about the new SGL over in the other forum. sorry bout that. my bad.

so, how will this work with the restrictions of the new SGL? WotC's FAQ seems to indicate that a company is not allowed to release both 3.5 and 4E products for the same product line, but are allowed to convert old supplements to the new system.
Does that mean that we will not see any new Blackmoor product (and thus no new rules content for the MMRPG) for 3.5 once the 4E products are released? |

Yes, that is correct.... to a degree.
City of the Gods was the last official v3.5e cannon material book for Blackmoor. For the MMRPG there will still be episodes written.
v4.0e Blackmoor (tagged as 'Classic Campaign') is in it's late development now.
However... oh wait, I can't get into that yet, it's a surprise.
Some things you'll just have to wait a while longer for. Like at GenCon or a little after.  |

| I got to start last Saturday, as I luckily got to test the 4E Blackmoor waters at Gen Con. I don't want to spoil any surprises, but if you've been playing Blackmoor for a bit, there are some big (and cool) changes ahead. I believe Rob said the 4E campaign will start at MegaCon in 2009. |

Yep, same pre-pre-premier mods that were at GenCon will be at DragonCon...
Then folks will have to wait until MegaCon for them to appear again with the next 2! |

Oh, I wish I could be there to watch some more groups go through the first one... and maybe get to go through the second one myself.

Myself and 2 friends got to play the 2 4e modules (we were the ones who 4 manned Goblin City with a sun rod and mage hand) at DragonCon. The 3 of us were all completely unfamiliar with DAB and were totally impressed by both modules. We weren't planning on attending (and in my case had never heard of) MegaCon but will now be heading up for the event.
any hints on what we can expect at MegaCon? |
