Post subject: Scale of the Blackmoor Map  PostPosted: Sep 18, 2008 - 02:23 PM

I'm curious what the intended scale is of the blackmoor world map in the campaign book. The legend says hexes are 12.5 miles. The scale bar, however, doesn't match up with that. If you compare the bar with the hexes, the hexes are clearly bigger, perhaps as much as 15 miles/hex. So... which is correct, the bar or the hexes?

Complicating matters even more... Temple of the Frog gives a completely different scale, suggesting that a hex is less than 3 miles across!
