Blackmoor Information Update! Things have changed!
Print Release Schedule Change
Due to a change of layout pesonell, last minute editing, and some conflicting schedules to avoid, things are being pushed back by a Quarter. The new Blackmoor schedule is as follows;
1st Quarter, February Release - Blackmoor: The First Campaign
2nd Quarter, May Release - Blackmoor: 2nd Edition (working title - for Time Jump)
3rd Quarter, August Release - Blackmoor GM's Guide (working title - for Time Jump)
4th Quarter, November Release - Ruins of Blackmoor (working title - for Time Jump)
The PDF versions of each title will be released the month following the print products release!
Blackmoor: the MMRPG (live campaign)
The kickoff of the 4e MMRPG campaign is being delayed until GenCon 2009. This was decided with the same considerations of the push back of the print products as well as to not conflict with the end of the 3.5 campaign at MegaCon 2009.
The first two modules will be showing up at a few cons between now and then so people can get a taste of what's to come, just keep in mind that things will probably change in them as they are premiere episdoes!
Any changes (i.e. rewards/certs) that are made will be handled once the campaign officially kicks off at GenCon.
The MMRPG Campaign is set for a 5-year overall story arc, with 1 year arcs for each of the 5 years, and of course there will be mini-story arcs all over the place!
The story arcs will run the gamut of social, political, and physical - so bring your game face and be ready to play!
The finalized campaign documentation will be ready by the end of the 2nd quarter, plenty of time before GenCon to digest it and we'll release preliminary campaign docs as they're presentable for you to start getting familiar with!
Some fun things to look for; Want to start a Noble House, a Merchants Guild, or an Adventuring Company? We'll have some rules for it for you! Looking to make a good reputation with Noble Houses, Religious Organizations, or an entire City? Got you covered!
What you choose to do WILL have consequences in the game world!!!

So we (The Campaign and CMP) will be at GenCon, just to allay any concerns that we were skipping the show!
We will be in booth 2239 an endcap, 2 aisles away from the Wizards booth. Come and get your Blackmoor love there!
We'll have a number of things for folks at the show, so swing by and see what's new, what's coming up, and generally just to chat and say hi!
As for MMRPG events, they are RPG01553 - RPG01616 and will be held in the Cowne Plaze Hotel, Haymarket Rooms A & B over the weekend!
We look forward to seeing old familiar faces and all the new people we mug, I mean blackjack, I mean lure into playing with us! ;)

Some changes to the coordinator positions |
|

 |
So the Campaign Staff page has been updated as we've had some changes in staffing, and contact links have been added there as well to submit your module & meta-org ideas!
The new coordinator chain has a couple of changes of personnel, one position removed (operations), and two combined into one (editing & background)
We have 2 positions currently open, which we are discussing with a couple of people at the moment to fill.
A very heartfelt thanks to those who have served the Campaign but had to step aside for real life concerns - You will be remembered for the hard work and endless hours and the heart you poured into this campaign!
Thank you to everyone who has and is helping to make the MMRPG a success!

Zeitgeist Games announces Publishing agreement with Code Monkey Publishing, LLC |
|
Posted by: DClingman
on Friday, February 15, 2008 - 10:30 PM |
 |
Oviedo Florida -- Zeitgeist Games announced today that it has completed a publishing agreement with Code Monkey Publishing, LLC to assume production of it's existing and future role playing gaming products. "We're very excited to be working with Code Monkey" said Zeitgeist Games President Dustin Clingman. "We've had an outstanding relationship with CMP for years and this is a very natural progression. They're going to be able to give all of our products and customers the proper attention that they deserve -- these are exciting days!"
Clingman further detailed the publishing plans going forward saying that existing products in the Dave Arneson's Blackmoor line would go to print in rapid succession and that the company had already begun work on a revision of the Core Campaign materials for D&D 4th edition while it continues to support its existing d20 products.
